The data collection techniques used are library studies documentation. Hamka is unique intellectual figure. uniqueness ofa lies in fact that although it product traditional educational institutions, nevertheless has generalistic modern insights. an figure (modernist) who always concerned about seeing various problems people through his writings, seeks "enlighten" from sluggishness dynamics religious understanding Muslims.
